Design a Perfume Hero Shot with Controlled Reflections
Glass can create an elegant image, but uncontrolled reflections can make the bottle hard to read. Plan the highlights as part of the composition and give the product a simple, stable position.

A practical approach
- Choose a background that contrasts with the liquid and cap. Amber glass can separate well from a dark surface when a narrow edge highlight defines the outline.
- Describe the direction and quality of light. Ask for a soft side highlight rather than simply requesting luxury lighting, which leaves the important visual decision unspecified.
- If you want water or particles, keep them behind or beside the bottle. Establish a clean version first so you have a usable result if the effect obscures the package.
An example to adapt
Use this as a creative brief, then adjust it to your own subject and the controls available in your chosen tool.
Amber perfume bottle with a black cap on dark stone. Warm narrow side highlight on the glass, deep background, a small reflection beneath the bottle. Slow forward camera move, product remains upright and unobstructed.
Before you publish
Watch the bottle neck, cap alignment and liquid level. Use a real pack shot for any frame where exact label text is essential.
